The Hit TV Series Teams Up With Industry Innovators To Bring The Next Evolution in Tournament Poker

Chicago, Illinois – July 17, 2017 – Poker Night in America, the high stakes poker series that airs every Monday & Sunday on CBS Sports Network, is adding a new sponsor to their Featured Partner roster with Sit & Go 2.0, the revolutionary new prize pool system for live and online Sit & Go Tournaments.

This innovative format is injecting an exciting new concept to the traditional sit-and-go. The rules in poker gameplay for Sit & Go 2.0 are exactly the same as a standard sit & go, but what makes it unique is the prize pool modification that happens before the cards are shuffled-up and dealt.

The game begins with the dealer dealing out 9 cards, face down around the table.  The player to the left of the dealer button then begins by revealing their card.  A red card means stop, and a black card means go.  If a red card is shown, the prize pool stays the same as outlined during registration.  The cards are then shuffled and the regular sit-and-go resumes.  However, if the player reveals a black card, the prize pool increases and the next player reveals their card.  With each black card that is revealed, the prize pool and number of players paid increases significantly.  The prize pool keeps increasing until a red card is revealed.  Unlike a regular sit-and-go, where there’s a set prize pool for every game, the prize pool for 2.0 games have yet to be determined, adding an element of chance to each game!

“This new sponsorship is a perfect fit for us,” said Todd Anderson, President at Rush Street Productions, the company behind Poker Night.  “We exist to make traditional poker fun again, and Sit & Go 2.0 has just reinvigorated a traditional form of the game, so our goals of our two companies are perfectly aligned – to make poker more fun and accessible.”

Sit & Go 2.0’s branding will begin to appear in nationally-broadcast episodes of Poker Night in America starting in early August, and will include prominent placement of their logo in-show, on Poker Night’s social media pages, on Twitch livestreams, and will also include commercial runs during the breaks.
